TRAINER'S PROFILE

Rev Dr Peter Poon

Rev Dr Peter Poon, having served as a pastor for 40 years in four Presbyterian Churches, has retired. He is now serving part-time at The Bible Society of Singapore and is involved in Walk Thru the Bible seminars and trainings as well as in leadership courses under the Multiplying Leadership Series (in association with John Maxwell’s Equip ministry). With Walk Thru the Bible, he has been serving in regional training in South East Asia, Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, and China. He has also taken numerous Holy Land study tours since 1989. Presently, his focus is in teaching and training, and his passion is in mentoring and coaching particularly emerging leaders.

Rev. Poon is married to Helena and they have three grown children and four grandkids. For leisure, he and his wife engaged regularly in jungle trails walking, birdwatching, and travel photography.

Our teens lead a "double life": an online life and offline one. As they spend more time on social media and other forms of media and technology, they are more affected by what happens online, which in turn impacts their behaviours and actions offline. This session, which is specially catered to parents of teenagers, will cover the latest media trends, explore why teens like what they like, and how to discuss boundaries in media, technology, and sexuality with them through quality conversations.

About the Speaker

Carol Loi (MBA, Nanyang Technological University) serves in Generations of Virtue, a ministry that is committed to teaching sexual wholeness and integrity, and equipping families to transform culture. She is also a digital literacy educator and a parenting coach, having spent over two decades in public service, including the Ministry of Education and the Info-communication Media Development Authority.

About the Speakers
Mark & Joanna Williamson are the founders and co-directors of One Rock International. Mark heads the curriculum development on Discerning Vision and Leadership Skills, and also leads the Prayer for London movement. Joanna focuses on the areas of Spiritual Formation and Global Mission. She is a trustee of Renovare Britain and Ireland, and is also a lecturer at Westminster Theological Centre. They are authors of a number of biographies of spiritual leaders of the past.

About the Speakers
