“He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” —Psalm 107:20
“After Cyclone Freddy, the Church was left out because no one could provide us with Scriptures. We are grateful now as you came in Christ to provide the Word of God, which was needed more than you can imagine,” said the leader of the pastors’ union in Nicoadala.
With cyclones striking in succession, BBC reported that more than 34,000 Mozambican families lost their homes, leaving them in even greater need than before. Through your support, the Bible Society of Mozambique has distributed Scripture and relief items to those who have lost their belongings, including their Bibles, offering healing and comfort to their wounded hearts, helping the nation mitigate the devastating effects of the cyclone.
With heartfelt gratitude, we extend our deepest appreciation to a faithful Christian organisation and individual donors for their generous donations over the past years through The Bible Society of Singapore to support the communities affected by the cyclones. In addition, some generous donors have contributed to the construction of a church in Mozambique, which is set to be completed and open for congregation in February 2026. This church will serve as a beacon of faith and resilience for the Mozambican people.
Let’s come together to bring the life-giving message of Christ to the victims of Cyclone Chido and continue to provide support in this pressing time.
